About
A chemical engineer who found design at a college hackathon.
I studied chemical engineering at NIT Jalandhar and wanted to make something with impact. A college hackathon got me designing, and graphic design internships, freelance work and online courses taught me the rest.
Later I wanted a bigger say in the product itself, so I moved to UI/UX. In my final year I joined Burpy, an AI food and health startup, as its first designer: an intern first, then full-time. Since January 2025 I’ve been a product designer at KFintech in Hyderabad.
Nearly 3 years in, I design prototypes, dashboards and design systems. Outside work I read fiction, watch a lot of movies and pick one new skill to learn every year.

How I work
Edge cases before beautiful screens
I spend more time on the hard states than on polishing the pretty screens: the blurry scan, the question the AI can’t answer.
Proof: KYC registry, IR portalIf I can’t show the number, it’s a preference, not a rule
Rules in my design system come with a number I can show, like a computed contrast ratio. Checking every colour pair that way found 10 defects in my own tokens.
Proof: Design systemWith AI, design the fix before the guess
AI guesses, and some guesses are wrong. I start with how people spot a wrong answer and correct it.

Before you ask
Nearly 3 years. I was the first designer at Burpy, from my final year of college, and I’ve been a product designer at KFintech since January 2025.
